Learn to pause...

Hello!  I have another manly card for you :-)  Love this one!  I was sitting in a restaurant waiting for my breakfast when I noticed a guy wearing a really cool looking t-shirt.  And it completely inspired the background for this card.  I started with just plain black and brown papers for this one...

Note pad

Hello!  I was cleaning up my craft room recently and discovered some printer paper that was left over from a few note pads I had made as gifts.  The paper was 4x11...so basically long and skinny.  So, I thought--grocery list :-)  Yay!
Recipe:
cereal boxes for the covers cut to 4x11
printer paper for the inside pages 4x11

DCWV - Nana's Kitchen Stack

I covered the cereal box  pieces with the patterned paper.  I fussy cut 'made with love' and 'live good be happy' from scraps of the patterned paper.  Prima flowers, pop dots, Oriental trading Co. blue clear button, DMC floss #972.  1" white binding wire, ribbons are American Crafts (blue dot) and organza ribbons are Ribbon Boutique.

Notebook for my Audrey

Hello!  I have a cute project to share today.  I made a little notebook for my 6 year old daughter, Audrey.  She loves to write stuff down.  She's a lefty so I made the book so it opens at the top so she doesn't have to fight with the binding while writing.  I gave it to her for Valentine's day.  She loves it :-)
The front cover.  I used a cereal box for the covers and then covered them with the pretty papers.
Inside cover and an envelope.  The word 'dream' was stamped with pigment ink and then heat embossed.  Love the look and feel of embossing :-)
The back of the envelope.  This was my first project to use Washi tape on.  Love this stuff!!
Back cover of the book.

Recipe:
Book is 8 x 5 1/4"

The Paper Studio - Daydream Doodle Stack - all patterned papers

Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cart - Audrey @ 2", envelope @ 6" using the Italic feature

Valentine Treat Boxes

Hello!  One more Valentine project to share with you :-) If you're looking for fun and easy-- this is it!!  I got to play with the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge for this project.  It's way too fun!  At first I cut this gable heart box using one 12x12 sheet of paper and using the fit-to-page feature.  It cut at 6 1/4".  Really cute--but small.  This would be fabulous for a small gifty.  So, then I tried cutting this box in two seperate pieces at 9" and it came out so cute.  You do need two matching sheets of 12x12 to get it this size.  These went to my kiddos' teachers.  I filled each one with a bag of Hershey's kisses. (sorry about the glare on the pic)
Recipe:
DCWV - Sugar & Spice - heart patterned paper
DCWV - The Sweet Stack - pink, red patterned papers

TBBM2 Cricut cart - Gable heart box @ 9" (this is made with 2 seperate cuts), tags @ 2 1/2"

Terrifically Tacky tape - 1/2" to secure the edges, Sew Easy Floss to attach the tag, Hershey's  kisses :-)
