Charms for a bracelet :-)

I decided to try making a charm bracelet.  These are for my  husbands two god daughters.  I used Shrink Film in bright colors.  I really wanted to use pinks, black and white or grey but those colors weren't included in my package of Shrink Film.  So, I went with citrus colors.  I really had fun making these!  I hope they like them!!

Recipe:
Colored Shrink Film

Robotz Cricut cart - initials @1 3/4"
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cart - Image 9 @ 1 3/4" (starburst shape), Image 36 @ 1 3/4" (heart), Image9 @ 1 3/4" using the shift (starburst with the circle cut out of the middle- I even used the middle piece just for fun--small green piece)
Wedding/Marriage Cricut cart - cross @ 1 3/4"

For cutting this material with my Cricut I used settings:  Blade 6, Multi-Cut 2, Pressure 5, Speed 4.  Punch your hole before baking them.  I had my oven @300 degrees and they took about 6 min to shrink fully.  I used parchment  paper to line my cookie sheet and another piece to cover the shrink plastic piece.  As soon as I removed them from the oven I smoothed them out with the bottom of a drinking glass made of glass.  And I let the glass sit on it until it was cooled enough to touch...a few minutes.

This was my first time using the Shrink Film.  You do need to work quickly to smooth them out once they come out of the oven.  I only did a few shapes at a time...

Thanks for stopping by today!  Happy Holidays!

I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cart to create crayon boxes that are perfect for holding gift cards or money.  I made 5 of them this year :-)  They are super easy and make a fun way to present the gift.
Gifts for an individual person. (Sorry this pic isn't the best!)

These are gifts for a couple so I just wrote on the back of the tag.

Recipe:
My Mind's Eye - O Christmas Tree stack - Christmas tree print

Secret Circle Stocking Swap!!

All I can say is WOW!!  So many crafty goodies from my Circle Sister, Robyn.  She included a Christmas card that is way cute.  And for her handmade item she altered a Cricut cart box with paper, bling, and paper flowers--it's so pretty!  Love it!  And inside the box was a bunch of Cricut cuts all decorated up.  Too fun!!!  Thanks so much, Robyn!  I love it all!!  You rock!  Merry Christmas to all my Circle sisters!

CC Wkly Challenge #46: Flower Fusion

This was a great challenge for me.  I am guilty of stashing away my flowers and forgetting to use them...or I just use a cricut cut for my flowers.  So, this was good to pull them out and get thinking about them again!

Impression Obsession: What Do You Like to Drink?? Challenge

This time of year I have to say hot cocoa is my drink of choice!  So, that is what's in my cup on this card.  I used a DecoArt Snow Writer to add the frothy, foamy marshmellow effect to the top of the steaming cup of cocoa.  I also used Glossy Accents to make the candy cane shiny!  Grab yourself a cup and enjoy!

Sophie Blog Hop!!

Hello and welcome to the Sophie Blog Hop.  We have created projects with our Cricut Circle exclusive cart, Sophie-as I'm sure you know by now :-).  It's a great cart and I need to use it more often.  If you arrived here from Rexann's awesome blog http://ibecircled.blogspot.com/ then you are right on track.  If not and you'd like to start at the beginning, visit Michele's amazing blog http://www.michelegreen.com/.

For my project, I've created a card for my Sister-in-Law who recently had her gall bladder removed.  Hopefully it cheered her up some :-)

My Mind's Eye - Simply Delightful stack- patterned papers

Sophie Cricut cart - rose2 @ 3"

DEC 25th

This is another simple card but I love how it turned out.  I don't use plaid patterned papers much, in fact my husband wasn't too sure about this one.  Hey, at least he's honest...LOL!!

Recipe:
A2 card base in Kraft
DCWV - Christmas Combo stack - green patterned paper (leaves)
DCWV - Merry Christmas stack - all the rest of the patterned papers

Winter Woodlands Cricut cart - holly @ 3"

Brown ink for edges of cardbase and tag, red organza ribbon by Ribbon Boutique, white marvy gel pen for doodles on leaves, pop dots, grosgrain red ribbon by Basic Narrows (M's).

I cut the '25' out of the tag so it's the negative space and the ribbon behind it makes it red.  I thought this was kinda cool :-)

CC Wkly Challenge # 45: Run for the Border

Why does the title on this challenge make me think Taco Bell??  LOL!  It's been a few years since I've had Taco Bell.  Maybe it's a sign...Hee..hee!  Okay, I made a Christmas card for my project.  I put the border above and below an embossed white strip of paper to create the background for my card.  I kinda like how simple this looks :-)
Recipe:
A2 card in Kraft

DCWV -Merry Christmas Stack -all patterned papers

Create a Critter Cricut cart - lights @ 2"

Henry's Cake

I got another chance to play with my mini Cricut cake :-)  So fun! My little man turned 4 this week.  He's growing up so fast!!  He loves dinosaurs so this is what I did.

I used Create a Critter Cricut cart to make the dinosaur.  It's cut @5".  The letters for his name are from Robotz @1".  I realized after I cut the two layers that I probably should have just cut the green layer and then layered on a few circles instead of cutting the blue layer.  Something to think about for next time....LOL!

The finished cake.  Okay, it's not super professional but my little man was very excited about it.  Made my day :-)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Fire Truck shaped card...

My little man turned 4 on Monday so I wanted to create a fun card for him.  I decided on this cool fire engine.  He loves them.  Every time we see one when we're driving he yells, "Fire Truck".   It's kinda cute!

And the back...

Recipe:
Boys Will Be Boys Cricut cart - fire truck @ 4"  (I cut two shadows in white as the base of the card.  And I also cut two of everything else- making sure I flipped one so it could be the back), '4' @ 2"

Pop dots for the wheels, black bling, Diamond Stickles on the '4'.

I scored along the top of each fire truck and then just glued above the score lines to connect the two shadow card base pieces.

This was an easy and fun card to make :-)  Thanks for stopping by today!

Soccer!

My daughter's first season of soccer came to an end on Sat.  So, I created a little card for her coach.

Cuttlebug- distressed stripe

Diamond Stickles used on 's' & 'c' in the word Soccer (it's hard to see in the pic).  Corner rounder, pop dots, Oriental Trading Co stamp from the Everyday Words set.

CC Weekly Challenge #43: Feeling Gifty

I don't know about you but my kids are sure counting down the days until Halloween.  It's so fun this time of year!  So, I created little treat bags for my daughter's Kinder class and my son's preschool class.  Since I had a total of 35 to make I kept the crafty side of it rather simple.  At this age, I figure it's all about the loot inside! LOL!  So, this one is easy peasy!
Recipe:
Cloud 9 Seasonal stack - all patterned papers

Treat toppers are 4 1/4 x 5"
treat bags are 4 x 6  (they were a bit long so I folded them over before stapling on the topper)

Doodlecharms Cricut cart - spider @2", pumpkin @2"

Pop dots, MS Drippy Goo punch.

Bags are filled with Halloween finger puppets and tattoos from Oriental trading co, small containers of Play-doh, and of course CANDY!  :-)

CC October Monthly Challenge: Halloween Home Decor

For my home decor project I used a little black tree I got on clearance at one of the crafty stores at the end of the Halloween season last year.  So, I couldn't wait to get started on this one :-)
I used ribbons to dress up my little black tree.

I used the Happy Hauntings Cricut cart for all my cuts:
witch @2 1/2"
witch's hat @ 2 1/2"
frankenstein @ 3 1/2"
mummy @ 3 1/2"
cat @ 3"

CC Blogiversary Challenge: Cuttlebug

Okay, two Cricut cuts and my Cuttlebug for this one.  Easy peasy :-)

Recipe:
A2 size card

Happy Hauntings Cricut cart - Frankenstein @ 3 1/2", Frame3 @ 4 3/4" (i cut off the bats)
Elegant Edges Cricut cart - Branch @5", 2 3/4"

Cuttlebug embossing folders - Distressed lines, Seeing spots (debossed this one)

Black glitter ribbon by Celebrate It/Basic-basic (M's), pop dots, MS drippy goo edge punch, black Zig pen for stitches doodling.

I ended up cutting the top of his head in green by hand because the stitches ended up way too thick.  So, I  just used the Cricut cut [from the top of his head] as a pattern and then doodled my own stitches with my Zig pen.  It looks so much more real this way :-)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Good luck to all in this challenge!

I was actually working on a different fall home decor project when I came across this corn field cut.  And I knew it would be perfect for a card for this challenge.  As a young girl I remember getting a kachina doll with tons of beads on it so I had to add some beads to my card as well.

Recipe:
Echo Park - Splash - yellow patterned paper
DCWV - Shimmer Stack - yellow & green papers

Pop Up Neighborhood Cricut cart - corn field @1 3/4"  (I used the fit to length feature set @5")

Yellow organza ribbon by Ribbon Boutique, white marvy gel pen, Easy Stitches stencil for the zig zag doodles, green glass beads by Bead Treasures, Jillibean soup twine in bean stalks.

Thanks for looking!  Good luck to all in the challenge!

CC September Monthly Challenge: Window Dressing

The challenge this month is to create a project with some type of window effect and use 2 Cricut cuts.  I chose to use vellum to create my window feature on this card.
Recipe:
DCWV - Winter Wonder stack - pp with words
DCWV - Christmas Combo - dark blue patterned paper

Winter Woodlands Cricut cart - snowflake card @5 1/2", tag @ 5 1/2"

Impression Obsession stamps- Let It Snow CL195

This card was a bit of a struggle--I expected the tag to fit over the cardbase and not stick out on top.  So, I covered the space at the bottom with ribbons :-)

White ink, distress tool used on the cardbase edges, blue organza ribbon by Ribbon Boutique, white ribbon is Celebrate It (M's), fuzzy white brads are Oriental Trading Co, pop dots, glossy accents to adhere the Diamond Dust on the snowflake, frosted vellum to create the window effect, white Marvy gel pen for doodles.

Thanks for looking!  Good luck to all in the challenge!

IO Stamps: Is It Fall Yet???

Hello!  It was sooo good to get back in my craft room yesterday.   I've been away for a while.  My little brother got married in S. Lake Tahoe.  It was so much fun and so beautiful on the lake.  I didn't want to leave there :-)  Anyway, the challenge today is to use Impression Obsession stamps and create something with a fall theme.  You can play along by going to their blog.
Recipe:
4" square card

DCWV - Amber Autumn Stack - patterned papers

Impression Obsession stamp sets:  Inner Witch CL295, Sentiments I

Elegant Edges Cricut cart - Ivy frame @ 3"
Doodlecharms Cricut cart - leaves @ 3/4", 1"

Brown ink (used to sponge on the cream color cs before I stamped the cupcake image), watercolor pencils, Stampin' Up blender pen, brown Zig pen for doodles on leaves, DMC floss #801, pop dots added to the orange frame for dimension.  I also curled the orange leaves a little bit for added dimension.

Thanks for looking! Good luck to all in this challenge!

Cricut 360 # 10: Happy Grandparent's Day!!

Hello!  I did up a quick card using our latest Cricut Circle cart, Sophie.  It's simple but I really like how it came out.  My mom loves butterflies so she will appreciate it for sure.
